About Family Systems We’re all born into families. It’s the first arena where we learn how to navigate in the world and discover who we are. The people who make up our family influence us from the day we’re born (and even before). My training in NLP has incorporated German psychotherapist Bert Hellinger’s Family Soul Systems work. This is a unique marriage of the NLP tool box that integrates concepts of how the family you’re born into creates unconscious loyalties and obligations that influence how you live your life. The strong bonds of love that tie us together can be a source of great joy but sometimes also great pain. And the strong bonds can be a key to resolving painful issues as well as a source of incredible healing. This integration offers new perspectives — ways to unblock stuck patterns and pain while honoring those that came before you, even, and sometimes most especially, when that’s the last thing you want to do.
